| if ts a real pic its most likely a deep sea elasmobranch of some kind, ifd it lives in high pressure and is then brought up to our pressure at the surface things inside have a tendancy to expand and explode. |

| Looks like a dolphin mated with a squid.....then the squid wanted more; the squid mated with a shark and got that thing. It's possible....sort of. It has the beak of a squid, head of a dolphin, and fin of a shark. Conincidence? I think not. :p Idk wtf I'm talking about but yeah, I'm sticking with my theory. |
|
|
i thought the mega mouth shark was extinct?
I guess not! yeah there are similarities when you google the picture of the mega mouth shark... But its hard to match it exactly. |

| Sharks fins are a delicasy in Japan. People pay alot of money for them, they are most commonly used in a dish thats basically called shark fin soup. Even though its actually illegal to kill endangered species, as you can see it doesent matter to those who get paid for it. Its actually really cruel the way they kill and despose of them, if you ever get a chance to watch shark water, I highly reccomend it if you have an interest in sharks. And if you dont think its a megamouth look up they're anatomy the gills, fin length, shape and head structure are all the same. Though it does appear to be swelling I dont thnk its due to pressure these guys do come up to the surface sometimes so obviously that makes no sense. Its most likly due to the way they caught it. |

I'm pretty sure it's a megamouth shark, as well. See the markings on the underside of its mouth, as well as the placement of the gills.
This website has one of the few pictures of a megamouth alive in the water: http://www.eagle-eye-images.com/underwater.ivnu and you can see the simliarities... |
