Tech: Macbook Air

Yes, Macbook Air is truly the "amputated swimsuit-model" of laptops. It may look sexy, but it really just can't do that much. With gaping issues like:
- No ethernet port
- No dvd/cd-rom
- Only 1xUSB port
- Sluggish CPU
- 1× mono speaker
Steve Jobs truly has flown too close to the sun on this one, blindly chasing style, leaving substance a distant second priority.
Sure the Macbook Air may appeal to a small, niche demographic who demand serious mobility (tm) - or hold on... you can't replace the battery. So forget that, since you can't have a spare, switchable battery on those long business trips.
It simply has no place sitting in the middle of apple.com's homepage, trying to pass itself off as the new "all-rounder" notebook that its big-brother the Macbook (Pro) has held for all these years.
Not only is the standard Macbook, more feature-packed with a faster CPU but its also 60% cheaper @ $1099!
Summary: Steer clear. Unless you want the Air as a "status thing", in which case its a different argument altogether...

Most don't need a "Swiss Army Knife" computer for mobile use. |

| God you're a cretin. The thing is a runaway success. There's nothing like it in the PC world. Until you try one, you can't understand how incredible it is. |
