Movies: A Clockwork Orange

This movie whipped ass, and on sooo many levels!

Take that you smelly old cooter!
When this guy isnt raping women he is smashing/stealing something. Apparently I hear that in the book he goes on to rape two 10 year old girls.
People dont tend to look past the raping and tolchoking (smashing) to see that its actually supposed to be about karma and how people are going to be programmed in the future and blah blah blah blah who really cares? This movie rules for one reason alone - the guy does what he likes - a bit of the old ultra violence and in-out'ing.
Most of you prolly didnt understand every second word in the movie, thats cos its a language called Nasdat that was invented for the book, its a bit of russian and gypsy slang, check the full dictionary here

What ever happened to old Malcolm Mcdowell :( he did such gay movies afterwards. Although I guess it even makes his performance in this masterpiece just that much more special - kind of like Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker guy) in Star Wars.
This movie kicked so much ass it even had Darth Vader in it, where you might ask? Right here:

The script and settings were just... perfect, every word is like poetry, everything is just done so well.
Nnyes, and lets not forget what makes the movie just that more sweeter, Mr Deltoid!
Apparently in this scene they actually scarred McDowells cornea (eye)
WEEEEEEE!
A truly flawless movie allround.

| Read the book? Or how about the infamous 21st chapter? you know, that changes the book from Nixonian and a fable to Kennedyan and possibilistic? You should check it out some time. And see what Anthony Burgess has to say about them deleting the 21st chapter. It's an author's note in the norton reprinted version of the book, along with that chapter. nice site. and i must agree, A Clockwork Orange is seriously horrorshow. |

The book horrified and fascinated me at the same time.
And "raping and tolchoking" are pretty hard to look past... just so you know. I honestly have to wonder what kind of person would really live that way, even if they were able to.
I'm extremely worried that you think the book rules because Alex does whatever he wants. It is in no way acceptable. Any of this. |
